Happy Friday. Did you know that Roblox crossed 1 million users in just 5 days on Quest? Yeah, 5 days. And it wasn’t even the actual public release app, just the open beta version. That’s crazy! The total user base of Roblox is 66 million and it’s mostly kids. I guess, the next-generation growth of VR is looking pretty solid.

Visor: An Exciting New XR Headset From Immersed

Immersed, the remote work startup, has just unveiled their next-gen XR headset, the Immersed Visor. And boy, it's not just another headset on the block. It's a whole new ball game!

Designed with the future of work in mind, the Immersed Visor boasts a 100-degree field of view, dual 4K resolution, is “25% lighter than a smartphone”, and has an HD color passthrough that's "higher resolution than what's available on the market."

It will support Windows, Mac, and Linux laptops and computers, and can deliver five or more virtual screens in a compact headset. That’s so cool. I’ll now be able to see all the coins in my crypto portfolio crashing to zero at the exact same time!

The bad news is that it isn’t going to be cheap and they’re targeted at enterprise users. Immersed hasn’t announced pricing yet, however, pre-orders are said to arrive at some point later this year.

Meta Will Launch Quest 3 At Meta Connect

Meta has officially announced the date for their upcoming Meta Connect event — September 27. The Quest 3 is likely one of the biggest anticipated releases for the event. So just a month and a half’s wait to get the potentially best-selling VR headset of the next 2 years.

Next up, we've got some juicy details about the new Touch Plus controllers. They've just received FCC approval, and it looks like they're sticking with the tried-and-true one AA battery setup. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right?

But the real icing on the cake is the news that the Quest 3 will support 6GHz Wi-Fi. This means faster data transfer, smoother gameplay, and more immersive VR experiences. Just make sure your router is up to the task!
